John Swift left the USA defence in tatters a minute later after a well worked run put Toffolo through after beating 4 american defenders. Toffolo was unfortunate to lose possession which could have seriously been a good chance for England.

England's full backs were proving to be two of their most creative players, in the 60th minute Harry Toffolo made a great overlapping run down the left had side whose cross picked out Kwame Thomas in the penalty area who steered his free header just over. USA then made heir second substitution with Joel Sonora coming on for Tijuana's Paul Arriola.

USA really struggled to make any chances in the second half with a half chance coming in the 61st minute John Requejo's cross blocked.

Obubajo showed some real trickery in the 64th after intercepting a loose ball, he broke through the visiting midfield and he was able t pick out Mowatt although he was unable to keep possession. Obubajo was then take off for Callum Robinson.

A good decision from the linesman disallowed the goal after Yomba had handled the ball into the net leaving Yomba both annoyed and awarded a yellow card.

Callum Robinson set out to impress, his great trickery which lead to a 20 yard shot from him went miles over the crossbar.

Substitute Gooch had a late long range effort however his chance went straight at Jordan Pickford.

In the 88th minute, John Swift made way for Derby's Jamie Hanson.

England finished as 2-1 winners maintaining their unbeaten run under Aidy Boothroyd. Key peformances came from Moses Obubajo and Harry Toffolo who were influential going forward from full-back, captain Matty Grimes led by example with his passing range being on point and John Swift who was by far the strongest performer on the pitch with 1 goal and 1 assist. The Swindon loanee proving why he's been at parent club Chelsea for over 5 years.

Taphouse then had 2 great chances in the 15th minute, the first being a shot straight at the keeper from the edge of the box which was put straight at the keeper. The second came after a powerful run from Oliver Carthew put Taphouse in for a chance from 6 yards out although he was unlucky not to connect with Carthew's pass.

In the 41st substitute Galvin nearly made a great introduction. Some lovely skill from Jake Pearce led to a pass to Taphouse who squared the ball on the edge of the box and Galvin struck a first time shot onto the outside of the post in Bodmins closest effort in the first half.

St Mawgan had the first half chance of the second half after 47 minutes after a long range shot went wide.

Man of the match goes to Corey Stewart who was solid and comfortable on the ball and defensively. Playing at centre-back and central midfield, he was a strong character who had two or three close chances of scoring a goal himself.

Match Report 14th March 2015: Gorran vs St Breward AFC

Richard Brown was again forced to travel to Gorran with a limited squad with only 13 players available including himself. Martin Jago who started as a right midfielder against Veryan was forced in goal after both Ben Shaw and Lee Newton unavailable. Paul Dowson came into the back four which allowed captain Karl Croft into a more natural and influential role in central midfield. Brown changed to a 4-4-2 for this match which saw Ben French start at right midfield, Karl Croft and Rob Marks in the middle of midfield and Wayne Davey out on the left. Dave Ord started after being on the bench last week alongside Luke Richards. Alongside Richard Brown, Jonty Colman was on the substitutes bench.

Despite some dreadful pitch conditions that suited the home side more, it was St Breward with the opening chance of the match after 4 minutes. A well taken corner from Wayne Davey picked out Karl Croft whose chance was blocked for another corner.

4 minutes later, the away side showed signs of a flowing passing move with Ben French playing through Luke Richards, whose sliding shot forced a good save out of the goalkeeper.

Gorrans first chance of the match came after 12 minutes, a controversial free kick conceded by Oliver Mitchell was struck in from 25 yards out above goalkeeper Martin Jago who was unable to prevent the shot.

2 minutes later, a well taken free kick from French led to a bundle in the Gorran penalty area with Croft again having the final chance who was unable to test the goalkeeper.

Luke Richards picked up the first yellow card of the match after 29 minutes after a sliding challenge from behind won the  ball although was still booked for the challenge from behind.

A minute later, Gorran could have gone two goals clear after a Dan Couch slip sent their striker clear through although some good pressure from Paul Dowson prevented any real threat on Martin Jago.

In the 33rd minute, Dan Couch nearly equalised after a free kick from the halfway line forced a good save out of the goalkeeper.

A minute later, Davey could have easily equalised from a 25 yard curling strike which whistled just above the cross bar.

Dave Ord had a chance of his own to level things up for Breward, after a long rang shot was blocked towards Nathan Elliot whose cross troubled the keeper into a difficult save.

Jago was starting to look vulnerable after a miss-kick from Couch sent the Gorrans striker in 1-on-1 although the strike only hit the side netting.

Wayne Davey was certainly at the forefront of the Breward attack who was unable to finish a good passing move.

3 minutes into the stoppage time of the first half, St Breward finally got their goal. A poorly taken free kick from Richards came off of the referees back and fell to Rob Marks whose 25-yard strike went straight into the bottom corner for his first goal since joining St Breward from Lanivet Inn.

In the 49th minute, Marks was close to carrying on the second half as he ended the first with an edge of the box strike being blocked for a corner. From the resulting corner, Luke Richards whipped in a perfect near post delivery which forced the goalkeeper into tipping the cross into his own net to put the away side 2-1 ahead.

Just 2 minutes later, a long range shot from the Gorran midfielder deflected off of Dan Couch and lopped over Marting Jago to bring Gorran back level at 2 a piece.

Ben French was proving to be a constant threat towards Gorran and another one of his bursting runs drew a free kick for the away side which resulted into a free kick taken by Wayne Davey that was unable to cause any real problems for Gorran.

Davey again had another good chance in the 61st minute following a good run from Luke Richards however Davey was again close to scoring. A minute later, Davey and Richards combined again to put Richards through on goal however he was bought down last man resulting in a red card for the Gorran defender. St Breward went 3-2 up from the free kick with Wayne Davey slotting it home bottom corner from 30 yards out.

The referee was becoming a villain of the match rather frequently with his biggest mistake coming in the 65th minute. A battle on the byline between Wayne Davey and Gorrans midfielder leads to a good sliding challenge from Davey, the Gorran player then pushes in Davey into the fencing on the side of the pitch, Davey pushes back and bizarrely only Davey is sent off. The referee Robin Tucker certainly lacked consistency from here on out with both managers frustrated with him at times.

Luke Richards had a great turning run in the 70th minute and was unlucky to get his second of the match, his shot was turned out for a corner which fell to Dave Ord whose shot was cleared off the line.

Richards' pace was again testing the home side after a counter attacking run of his from a great Rob Marks clearance forced a free kick and another yellow card from the Gorran defence. Karl Croft was unable to score from his long range free kick.

The refereeing of Tucker was again questioned with Gorrans goalkeeper being booked from verbally abusing Tucker.

Right back Nathan Elliot nearly grabbed a goal from a Rob Marks corner despite being unable to turn away his chance at the back post.

Gorran thought they had equalised in the 86th minute after a free kick had been flicked on by a Gorran defender and was finished off at back post beating substitute Richard Brown, however linesman Jonty Colman had raised his flag after the runner at the back post was clearly offside after the flick on, much to the disgust of the whole Gorran team.

A minute later Luke Richards received a second yellow card after a late tackle from him was enough to brandish a second yellow from Tucker bringing St Breward down to 9 men.

St Breward finished the game as 3-2 victors after a game they should have killed off after an hour. Key performances came from the central midfield partnership of Rob Marks and Karl Croft who were both noticeable characters throughout the game. Luke Richards also played well threatening Gorrans defence from the start until he was sent off. The result sees St Breward stay in 6th place in a more comfortable position to potentially push on for a last-gasp promotion. Gorran remain bottom of the league desperate to stay up this season.

Match Report 7th March 2015: St Breward AFC vs Veryan

Richard Brown was forced to start the match without 7 first team players ahead of their home game against Veryan who went into this match with a 56-match unbeaten streak lasting around 3 seasons long. Brown played a 4-1-4-1 formation which has been common throughout this season for St Breward. Lee Newton started in goal in place of regular first team goalkeeper Ben Shaw. The side saw an unusual back 4, Nathan Elliot start as a make-shift Right Back as supposed to normally playing Right Midfield, Oli Mitchell started at Left-Back despite rarely playing at all this season, Captain Karl Croft dropped back into centre-half alongside the only recognised defender Dan Couch. Martin Jago was rewarded with a start at Right Midfield, Kelvyn Tootle started out on the left, and the central midfield trio saw Ben French, Wayne Davey and Rob Marks start as a midfield trio with Davey being the more defensive out of the three. Luke Richards started as the lone striker. Due to their squad limitations, St Breward only had 3 substitutes. Player-Manager Richard Brown, Dave Ord and Jonty Colman who was part of the matchday squad for the first time in over 2 months after trouble with a recurring knee injury.

The first real chance fell to Veryan who had a glorious opportunity to go 1-0 up after five minutes. A free kick whipped in from distance was punched away from home goalkeeper Lee Newton to another opposition player who blazed the rebound over from close range.

Veryan again troubled Breward 7 minutes later after a low drive cross flashed trough the home penalty box but was cleared for a corner by defender Dan Couch.

A minute later, the home side had their first real opportunity after a fantastic long ball from Oli Mitchell picked out Martin Jago whose header just goes over the bar.

Veryan then had 3 half chances in the space of 4 minutes although none of them were able to trouble Lee Newton in goal.

Despite, being the most dominant with the ball, St Breward were only really making chances from crosses which was again proven in the 22nd with this time Martin Jago turning provider after a good cross over the defence Richards through one on one although his header went straight at the keeper.

St Breward's defence were proving to be difficult to break down with Veryan's next 2 chances being forced to be from distance with neither of them really posing any threat to the home side.

Veryan eventually broke down the home team in the 33rd minute although was stopped after a fantastic last ditch clearance from Kelvyn Tootle. Veryan also had the final 2 chances of the first half with the first forcing a good double save out of the goalkeeper, and the second being a corner which went straight through the Breward penalty area.

St Breward had an early scare five minutes into the second half after Newtons clearance span backwards towards the Breward penalty area, Mitchell was unable to clear which put a Veryan forward through on goal although a good save from Newton prevented the home side going behind.

Veryan again test Newton with an acrobatic volley just inside the penalty area although Newton was able to prevent it from going in.

St Breward then went on the counter attack and some great battling from Marks put him in a good position and was able to put Luke Richards through on goal although he was unable to put the home side ahead.

In the 58th minute Veryan could have easily been 1-0 up after some great passing put their striker through their defence his first touch flicked over the last man although he was unlucky to turn his volley just over.

St Breward had mainly dominated the game via their midfield trio although in the 64th minute the successful trio were split up after Rob Marks was forced off injured. Brown bough on Dave Ord in his place with Richards dropping to central midfield and Ord playing as the lone striker.

The missing work-rates from Marks was instantly shown 2 minutes after he came off after some great passing from the away side led to a moment of magic from the winger who cut in from the left and struck home his shot on the angle from 12 yards out perfectly in the top left corner.

6 minutes later the home side had one of their best chances of the match after a great run and delivery from Martin Jago picked out Luke Richards in the box whose header that was flying towards the top left right corner forced a class save out of the visitors goalkeeper.

The only player to be cautioned in the match was Martin Jago who was booked in the 73rd minute after an awful overstretched lunge gave the referee no option but to book him.

In the 75th minute, Veryan could have gone 2 goals clear after a great through ball went over captain Karl Croft and sent the away side through on goal although Newton was able to tip the shot onto the post and the rebound was somehow put wide.

In the 80th minute Rob Marks re-appeared in place of Ben French with Brown putting Richards up front with Ord in a 4-4-2 formation in search of a late equaliser.

3 minutes later Brown was forced to bring himself on in place of Mitchell who was struggling with cramp.

4 minutes into stoppage time, Brown gave away a clumsy penalty which could have given Veryan a 2 goal lead however another top quality save from Lee Newton kept it at a 1-0 full time result.

The game finished 1-0 to Veryan which keeps them at the top of the Duchy 3 league with St Breward in 6th. St Breward put in one of their performances of the season without 7 first team players, Veryan themselves claimed they were by far the closest team to ending the streak and applauded the home team as they walked into the dressing room. Lee Newton had a spectacular game in goal preventing a number of very close chances for the away side. The midfield trio of Rob Marks, Wayne Davey and Ben French really gave Veryan problems in the middle of the park and was a noticeable absence when the trio were split up. The makeshift back 4 certainly prevented a lot of chances and were solid throughout the match.

Bryn Sturdy, Luke Sanders, Josh Galvin, Josh Taphouse and Aaron Worth all started on the bench.

Bodmin continued their theme of attacking runs just seconds later after Ash Richards picked up the ball on the halfway line and sprinted through the opposition defence beating 2 players. He did very well to pick out Connor Butler whose shot forced a very good save out of the keeper.

Falmouth had a fantastic chance to take a shock lead in the 20th minute after a thunderous free kick from 40 yards out by their right back cannoned off the crossbar leaving Kallicki stranded.

Bodmins influence was again inspired by Ryan Parsons after a great run into the opposition penalty box looked like a certain goal after he squared it to Richards, although he blazed it over the bar from 6 yards out.

Falmouth again looked deadly from set pieces after a well struck delivery from 25 yards out forced a solid punch from Kallicki.

The link up between Parsons and Richards was again in action after another successful long pass sent Richards on a run whose first shot was tipped back to Richards and the keeper the saved the rebound.

Bodmin Captain Josh Howell had the first real chance of the second half 5 minutes in with his long shot unfortunately coming to nothing.

Bodmin went ahead 2 minutes later after some good battling from Luke Sleeman before a great long pass put Connor Butler through on goal who shrugged off a defender before precisely slotting home at the back post.

Connor Butler putting Bodmin 1-0 up with a precise back post finish.

Falmouth equalised 5 minutes later after some scrappy defending from Bodmins left hand side forced a class save from Jamie Kallicki who was unfortunate from stopping the rebound from being bundled in from close range.

An extremely rare moment occurred just a minute later. As substitutes Galvin and Taphouse were warming up on the sidelines, the football they were using accidentally ended up on the pitch. This however was made apparent after seconds later McNary broke down that left hand side although McNary comically kicked the other ball out whilst still controlling the match ball. He was able to cut inside beating 2 defenders however was only able to hit the side netting.

With 10 minutes left on the clock, Bodmin retook the lead with Connor Butler picking his second of the match. A fantastic long ball from Josh Howell put Butler though 1 on 1 who took his chance despite the goalkeepers best efforts.

Falmouth nearly equalised just two minutes later, their corner was nearly turned in from a header although was denied via the crossbar. Some good pressure from Bodmins defence prevented any possible rebound going to use. On the counter attack from this Ash Richards broke down the left side and was taken out in the box although referee Ebony Dover didn't blow up for a penalty.

Connor Butler came very close to a hat-trick after a shot from 25 yards at a near impossible angle nearly troubled the opposition keeper.

Josh Howell came close to putting Bodmin 2 goals clear with 3 minutes to go. A fantastic curved free kick from 30 yards out forced a top quality saved from the opposing goalkeeper.

Butler was again close to finishing off for a hat trick after a interception from McNary put through Butler he placed his shot wide. He was then bought off for Sanders who got a 30 second cameo role.

Bodmin won the 2-1 which gives them 3 more points in the league as well as putting them through to the next round of the cup in what was a combined fixture. Key performances came from Jamie Kallicki in goal who proved solid for the majority of the match. Henry Ellis is clearly adapting extremely well to his new wing back role who proved a key player both attacking and defensively. Corey Stewart is also looking comfortable as a centre half who won nearly every aerial challenge he was involved in. Ash Richards played a key role down the left hand side who tore apart Falmouths defence. Man of The Match however goes to Ryan Parsons who was instrumental throughout the matches entirety, his work rate as well as passing range was certainly on top form in this match. Chris Morris was pleased with the result despite feeling it wasn't their strongest performance of the season.
